.: Biography :.

.: Beginnings :.

It was supposed to be a time of joy in the tribe, the birth of a new child, and during a full moon. When Iyanna went into labor friends and family celebrated, and none was more excited that her mate Tsukinaru. Unfortunately, fate was not kind and as Isanii was brought into the world, so too was her mother taken away. In a state of shock, her father declared the birth a terrible omen, turning his grief and anger upon the new born child for the death of his beloved. Despite objections from members of the tribe, Tsukinaru was determined to be rid of the cursed infant. Taking to his Yol he contemplated simply releasing her from the sky, but in the end, he could not and chose to abandon her at the shard of Nhaama, to let fate decide...
Whether it was fate or not, her death did not come that day. Abandoned to the elements, Isanii fell into the care of another. Eluna, a close friend to her mother, had followed Tsukinaru to the site, and when he left she swept up the infant and took her home in secret.
It took weeks of convincing, but at the promise to take responsibility for any ill tidings that came to them, she was able to keep the child, naming her Isanii, the name chosen by Iyanna prior to her death.
Unfortunate, ill tidings were on the horizon and while the first years went by well enough, despite an apparent illness, Isanii was in training to become an Udgan for the tribe. However tragedy befell her adoptive family while she was away training. Both parents we're found slain, her brother missing. It was a most heartbreaking situation, and the final straw for her birth father. At a mere fourteen summers old, he exiled her, claiming to purge the bad omen from the tribe for good.

.: The path Forward :.

For years the young Xaela wandered the land, from the mountain paths to the great river and through the Steppes to the ocean's edge. Despite the risks, she seemed blessed with fate's kind touch, and immersed herself with different tribes, learning their ways and earning respect through her skills and stories. While it served as not only a benefit for her learning and safety, it also allowed Isanii to look for her missing brother. With no sign of his death, she was convinced that the man yet lived. Despite many hardships, imprisonment and cruelty, she held her kind heart strong and as if pitied for her suffering the last few years, Isanii finally found a clue about her brother.
That determination carried the Xaela across the ocean to the continent of Eorzea, a foreign land to her with its own risks and odd cultures. Even then, she persevered and after over a decade since his disappearance she found her brother.
During the search for her brother, Isanii encountered both friends and foes that would significantly impact her life. She faced a monster that skulked in the shadows, ever seeking the pale Xaela as his own once more. Though unexpected circumstances, which nearly cost her everything, she found the love of her life, an honorable Raen who showed her more of the world than she'd expected, and protected her from harm, finally ending her nightmare and striking down the monster that had hunted her for years. Despite the solemn pact she had made with Nhaama and her nocturnal tribe, Isanii chose the sun, sharing her first sunrise with her mate and shifting to a daywalker. Isanii adopted a new lifestyle, expanding her horizons, and seeking new adventures.

.: RP Hooks :.

The Steppes/Reunion

Home of many Xaela, It was also the residence of Isanii for her youth and into the start of adulthood before she crossed the great ocean. There would be many options to have crossed paths, be it in her travels between tribes, or in the neutral zone of Reunion. Perhaps you are a merchant selling wares or food? Or another Xaela enjoying the day in the safety of Reunion's laws. Maybe you met her during her travels between many of the tribes as she searched for her brother across the Steppes. Now that she is free of her fears and relinquished her vow to the moon, Isanii is present in the Steppes occasionally, visiting friends and family.

Other Kagon/Oronir

The Kagon, while nocturnal in nature and mostly residing in the desert, have been known to come into the Steppes for trade and hunting. Her clan, a subgroup of the main Kagon, were a zealous group that obsessively followed their religious beliefs to a dangerous fault. Despite being exiled as a bad omen, she knew many in her tribe, with many knowing of her, and could potentially cross paths during her visits to the Steppes. Even from the main tribe, her features are a fairly easy giveaway of her heritage and other Kagons.
The sun worshipping Oronir, mortal enemies of the Kagon, are common in the Steppes, and on a few occasions she'd encountered them, attempting to avoid their harassment and any violence due to the bloody history between the clans, but unfortunately occasionally being dragged into a confrontation.

Travels/Markets

Isanii loves going to the market! Especially in Kugane, as it has a large variety of wares and items. It would be very easy to cross paths with her, either as a merchant or another patron of the market. She is especially fond of sweet treats and tea! She has travelled to many places in her teen years in search of her brother, and has met many in passing, some of who may still remember the pale soft spoken Xaela. Now that her life is no longer in constant danger, the option for travel is more likely and she desires to see more of the world under the sun's light.
